Weekend at Givat Haviva
September 10-11, 2004

 

Once a year we meet for an entire weekend of rehearsals. During this weekend we work on upcoming concerts, as well as on vocal training. On Friday evening we have a social event (which gets better and better each year...) and we make a point of always having as much fun as we can.

Day 1 - Friday, September 10, 2004

We arrived at Givat-Haviva on Friday afternoon, all set for a weekend of hard work. This year we had our work cut out for us. With the concert in Abu-Gosh only one month away, this weekend was our first rehearsal with the PHOENIX ensamble.

We met near the rehearsal room, and rehearsed for several hours.

 

                    Lunch time...

   Then we went to the dining room for lunch (which was not exactly fine cuisine...) the juice was "very interesting", but not exactly drinkable...


In the evenning we had our traditional "erev hevrati" (social evening - loose translation...)
There were various activities organized by Ayelet Laronne and Yael Magnes.
Afterwards Gila, Yaara, Eli & Tal tought us a rhythmic dance/song from the Zimriya called "Move On" (Click on the image to see the movie clip):

Afterwards Eli tought us a Brazilian line dance - this has already become somewhat of a tradition after its huge success during the previous weekend in Kfar Glikson (Click on the image to see the movie clip):

We went to sleep "ayefim ach merutsim" (tired but happy - sounds better in Hebrew...)

 

Day 2 - Saturday, September 11, 2004

 

 

In the afternoon the PHOENIX ensamble members, as well as soloists Tehila Goldstein and Adi Even-Or arrived - and we rehearsed together. The conclusion was that we had a lot of work ahead of us...



  

 

 

 

The morning started with breakfast. Afterwards we met at the rehearsal rooms. As you can see, some of us (like Boaz) woke up very energetic...
